    Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy:

The OrthoPulse Ultra from CuraMedix is an acoustic pressure wave device that combines EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology), innovation, and performance to help physicians eliminate their patient’s musculoskeletal pain. EPAT is a noninvasive treatment method designed to help damaged tissue regenerate and heal. Benefits include no risk of infection, no scarring, and no downtime. This is the latest model and the most effective system on the market.  If you are considering surgery, you should try this first. Learn more in this brochure or by watching a brief video.

    Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound is used in Podiatry for the diagnosis of many conditions unable to be seen on traditional X-ray. This may facilitate a quicker diagnosis and treatment as it is done in the office in less than 5 minutes. Helpful for foreign bodies, bone spurs, tendon issues, and many other pathologies.

    Custom Orthotics

The TOMCAT 3D foot scanner allows a truly custom orthotic fit. Your feet are scanned and then with modifications to the prescription by the physician they are usually back in 3 weeks from the lab. These are top of the line custom orthotics. Podiatry is at the forefront of custom orthotics. Each podiatrist uses a different method to create the orthotic, so choose wisely.

    Padnet Non-invasive Vascular Testing

This test provides screening for people at risk for decreased blood flow. It uses blood pressure cuffs to measure the pressure in the arteries and gives a graph that shows the flow of blood and the level of possible blockages.

    Surgical Procedures:

Dr. Roberts provides all types of traditional and newer minimally invasive surgeries for all foot and ankle conditions from bone spur excisions to reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Surgery can be performed in Tampa or in St. Petersburg.
