CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

VINYASA FLOW

Vinyasa Flow merges movement with the breath.  Flowing through a sequence of asanas synchronized to breath warms the body, allowing the practitioner to move deeper into postures and, over time, deeper into their personal practice

 

POWER / CORE YOGA

This yoga sequence will help you build strength, increase flexibility and find focus. Power/Core Yoga is a challenging and dynamic Vinyasa series. This class is moderately paced so you will learn the fundamental   postures and principles that create a successful and effective yoga practice. Set to music, this class will invigorate your entire body

 

FLOW / YIN

This class combines the best of Vinyasa Flow with Yin yoga – a dee practice that targets the connect ive tissues, such as ligaments, which are not exercised in the more active flow of asana. Long-held postures can even target bones and joints, strengthening the body’s foundation.

 

GENTLE HATHA

Gentle Hatha is focused on refining alignment in traditional Hatha postures, while increasing strength and flexibility. Other benefits include increased focus, stress reduction and restoring balance in the body. Gentle Hatha is an accessible practice for those who require use of a chair, and is appropriate for practitioners of all skill levels.

 

LUNCH HOUR

Lunch Hour Yoga is instructed with an emphasis on postural alignment through use of traditional Hatha postures, while bringing awareness to the breath and centering the mind. Meditation and pranayama techniques help to increase mental focus and reduce stress, while the physical postures increase strength and flexibility. This class is ideal for working professionals interested in restoring balance in the mind and body, and anyone wanting the benefits of a mid-day yoga practice. Appropriate for all skill levels.
